As Magenta settled down onto the sofa she noticed her right buttock of her trousers was stuck to it. There was something sticky and unpleasant she was sitting in. She tried not to think about it.
She watched as the small boy, she had thought of as the Trot-creature, pulled himself up onto a chair opposite her and patted his knee. The small ugly dog jumped up and began waggling its tail.
Magenta realised her benevolent dragon was not with her. How had he managed to separate her from her Power? In her own mind? Her anxiety began to take control. She did not like this manipulation. After all, if anyone was doing the manipulating it should be her.
"Right," Personal Responsibility said. "As I said, we need to talk. You are rather interfering in our plans."
Our plans?
"We have been in control of this place for some time and we do not want you messing things up."
