As usual, in Spanish; below is the English translation, courtesy of Google.

Flutter, wave, shake

Between a quick yet hearty breakfast—to put it mildly—
Two boiled eggs with hummus (or rather, a chickpea purée).
Between reading and sharing my thoughts in comments that seem well-received—though sometimes that might just be charity or courtesy—the morning slipped away without me actually making a post of my own.

I stumbled upon interesting ideas and viewpoints that differed from my own, yet weren't so far apart that they couldn't be reconciled. And, caught between a memory from a decade ago and a lost draft, I found a dead poet I needed to get to know: León Felipe—a Spaniard from centuries past who also lived in the Americas.

While wandering through this, a verse caught my eye about the importance of arriving all together and on time, rather than simply arriving first.
A rogue, a bon vivant, and a lover of revolutions—he must have left something good behind; after all, according to Wikipedia, statues of him were erected in his hometown and in Madrid, and in Zamora, a sculptor named Baltasar Lobo even created a tribute to him (though not out of basalt).

With those ideas swirling, I’ll share some memories from my photo archive—undoubtedly an attempt to sabotage myself on this, my fifth day without bread or refined flour.

[Table on the morning of December 24, 2024. Nothing but pan de jamón.]

And since I must resist the temptation, I’m sharing this morsel with you—not out of malice, but to foster solidarity.
A lesson I learned when I kicked the smoking habit. Sharing the goal of changing a habit with one's inner circle.
I’m not entirely sure what habit I picked up in its place—unless it was simply breathing in deep, clean air instead of smoke.
Now, it will be something similar. Instead of the wild notion of giving up carbohydrates entirely, we’ll try to limit their frequency and portion sizes to something more measured. At least until we forget about it. God forbid we give in to temptation.

[Entrance stairs to the Subte—the Buenos Aires metro/subway system]

After all, complacency and good intentions are said to pave the road to hell.

Have a wonderful day. Enjoy yourselves without excess so you can make the most of life without risking your health—or your time on this plane—since eternity can wait.
