¿El fin de internet? En 5 minutos [Es-En] The end of the internet? In 5 minutes

The end of the internet? In 5 minutes
The prompt for the "5-minute free-writing" exercise contains no question marks, yet I find myself considering the possibility that something—perhaps humanity itself—might be approaching obsolescence. It is as if it could no longer evolve or grow, though the real danger I sense is the possibility that it might be hijacked.
Prometheus brought fire from Olympus for humanity to enjoy, only to be chained and condemned to be devoured...
We have long since enjoyed the gift of fire, the wheel, and all that followed. Now, as the Internet reaches everyone, it—much like the Titan whose name means "he who thinks ahead"—places new tools in our hands. Even if we do not understand how they work, these tools allow us to accomplish in moments what once required hours or days of exhausting effort.
The gods imprisoned the Titans; humanity, in turn, forgot the gods. Now, while some play at being gods—and others label them as would-be fallen angels—a struggle unfolds over the distribution of power and control, and the price of a potential ransom. How much will be paid, and in what form?
Not by breaking the chains, but merely by loosening them—only to the extent that it serves those in power.
Between myth, history, and the future that awaits us tomorrow lie prophecies; however true they may be, they are only recognized as such once they have come to pass.
