Salud y bienestar, estimados amigos.

Health and well-being, dear friends.
Today, before August reaches its midpoint, I'd like to propose an initiative here on @hiveargentina. And if it gets enough responses, we could dedicate a specific day of the week to it.
#StoryFriday
Friday, Sunday, or whichever day you prefer, it's simply about sharing a story. Real or imagined, a funny thought, an anecdote, or whatever comes to mind, including jokes.
I don't plan to offer any rewards, although I might give you some @ecency points as recognition for participation and vote on the most substantial comments each morning.
The idea comes from a post by @palabras1, who shared his perspective on current events in a radio-style commentary format.
I imagine that many of you, like me, don't watch the news and barely watch television. Just like radio and print media, the internet has rendered them obsolete, and they survive like coal and firewood in the age of microwaves and alternative energies.
Radio. As a child, a children's story program aired late in the afternoon, which I listened to in winter when the cold kept me from playing outside. A narrator with wit and sound effects presented the classics of the Brothers Grimm and other timeless tales like Tom Thumb and the Big Bad Wolf.
Around adolescence, when some countries already had color television, we moved and only had the radio. Mom listened to it all the time; I imagine it kept her company when Dad went to work and we went to school.
In those days, we listened to an iconic Venezuelan station, Radio Rumbos, and its news program, which highlighted certain issues with loud chimes. I don't remember it broadcasting stories, but it did broadcast radio dramas.
Precursors to television dramas, which at the time were limited to a maximum number of episodes for the sake of the audience's mental well-being.
True outlandish soap operas that, like the originator of the adjective, could last for years. From those times, I remember the adventures of Martín Valiente, Death's godson, and the Red Hawk. I suspect the latter didn't have a pre-written script and they made it up day by day, since the plot often coincided with current events, like elections or other events of national importance.
When I was an adult, I worked for a few years behind the wheel of a truck, and the radio kept me company on the road. In the early morning hours, you couldn't pick up many signals, and sometimes the only one was Transworld Radio. With its who-knows-how-many millions of megawatts, it came from the Netherlands Antilles with its programming in several languages.
On my trips through the Paria Peninsula, Sucre, Venezuela, I listened to Radio Güiria, the old one, back when it broadcast on AM; FM stations weren't popular yet, or didn't even exist. One day, the announcer decided to identify the station as "The Vergataria of the East," and that's where they ended up. The telecommunications commission shut down the broadcasts.
This anecdote made her famous even among those who hadn't heard her. What I found really funny was hearing a similar story here in Buenos Aires.
In a conversation between some older gentlemen, one of them mentioned a well-known radio announcer who was banned for a live comment he made some years ago. I don't remember his name, but the comment went something like this: "The world is round like a ball, and everyone who lives in it is an idiot."
It probably had something to do with soccer, but he was sanctioned.
Today, they might not censor swear words, but censorship hasn't disappeared. Anyone can be silenced anywhere if they affect the interests of those in power. And to avoid going into too much detail, we'll leave it at that so as not to offend anyone.
["MY PARTICULAR VISION OF THE WORLD"]
