That is a palazzo pant trouser yes, if you had gone through my earlier posts you would see I made a palazzo for myself.
We had this get together with friends and I decided to rock my palazzo pant to the venue, you can't imagine the amount of 'sew it for me too' I got from my female friends to the extent that I was feeling a sense of accomplishment馃.
One of them gave me this material to sew for her
Materials needed
A trouser of fabric
Elastic
Thread
Measurements curve
Tailor's chalk
Step 1: Place the fabric on fold and mark the crotch on the fabric
Step 2: mark the hip and thigh measurements on the fabric too
Step 3: mark the lengths of the trouser then cut the marked areas out
This is the front cut, now to cut the back cut
Step 4: place the fabric on fold also and place the front on top
Step 5: measure 2 inches to increase the back crotch then mark it down
Step 6: the other side just needs 0.5 inches for seem allowance
After marking everything out you can now cut out
This is the front and back together
Then it's time to sew
First I'll join the sides
Next is to join the crotch and then the leg opening.
You measure and cut the band (I used 5 inches including the seam allowance
Let's join the band to the waist measurement and insert the elastic into it using a safety pin (depends on your waist measurements) I used 12inches of elastic
The I weave the inside for neatness
Next is to sew the band to the waist to avoid it getting twisted
I fold the length tip also for neatness
And after the cutting, sewing and weaving our palazzo pants is ready馃.
