Hello fellow movie lovers! This is the the number 2 issue or my underrated movies article series. In case you read my last posting you might have realized i really like future dystopian and A.I. related movies. Guess what changed since last time? Absolutely nothing. 😁
From now on i have decided i will also insert links to IMDB from each particular movie in order to save time in case you readers might want to check it out, also will be making it a weekly thing.
Released in 2009, 2081 is a short staring James Cosmo that revolves around a future society concept. This movie aged very very well, and many times i almost wish i never had seen it before, would make the first impact so much more valuable, to a point i am envy of you, my current reader, for the chance to do so. If possible get your hands on this one and give it a go, i stand by it 100% and despite being a short i always believed it deserved a lot more recognition.
Rakka is also a post apocalyptic short movie, a tale of alien invasion staring no other than Sigourney Weaver. Without any spoilers i can say the future dystopia genre fits Sigourney Weaver all the way, she is bad ass, a leader, and she gives a character real balls and attitude. This is a very fun short also with some great references if you are attentive.
Time Trap is a pretty original movie, when taking a closer look seems it got a lot of upvoting and recognition lately on IMDB, i chose it anyway not so long ago this was not so. With a very particular setting and plotline, Time Trap is very engaging, only lacking in one thing, sometimes you would like more details, still overall a great movie experience. Most cast works super well and the Ferbie character is really funny, making it a glue of sorts for the all team. This is not the usual movie ending i aspire but still one of my late underrated favourites.
Already seen any of this movies? Care to share your idea and take on it? please feel free to use the comments i will gladly answer back.
