INTRODUCTION POST: WELCOME EKPERETA TEJIRI

The first time I heard about cryptocurrency was about four years while in the university. I was having a conversation with a group of friends and we talked about a wide range of things, crypto inclusive. We spoke about exciting things about crypto that I find fascinating like cryptography, decentralization, blockchain, altcoins etc.

This were things I had no prior knowledge about. I didn't take a deep dive into it after that conversation because I was busy with my academics and I didn't want any form of distraction.

Years later, I met a course mate @nonsowrites who spoke to me about a decentralized network where people could create contents and earn cryptocurrency. This concept intrigued me because cryptocurrency cost a lot of money to invest in which many people like myself do not have. Having an option to actually learn and earn seemed quite exciting to me, so I decided to take a closer look.

I did my brief research about the hive community and discovered that it's about a year old. It recently went through a split with steam. It is a decentralized community with no central authority. It is backed by people who love decentralization like developers, investors, content creators, gamers, NFT lovers etc.

Some of these things are still vague to me and I am willing to learn and find out more interesting things about cryptocurrency.

This is my introduction post and my first step into the world of crypto. My name is Tejiri Ekpereta, I am 25 years old. I am a graduate of the department of Insurance, university of Benin. My hobbies are reading, singing and travelling. I love travelling because it avails me the opportunity of meeting people of different race and cultures.

At a very young age till now , I have been working for my family business and this has increased my desire for going into business full time. I also worked with a luxury brand in Lagos (Nicole and Giovanni) which helped to increase my knowledge about running a business.

With my profile, I will be writing things about my personal experience and business related post. Also, I will be sharing finance and insurance related contents based on my academic background of finance and insurance.

I am basically trying to build my social network as advised by my friend @nonsowrites by taking advantage of this opportunity.

I feel privileged to be here and me exploring something this interesting that is taking the world by storm. I am open to suggestions and ideas as @nonsowrites suggested that I seek all the help I can get and join as many communities as possible to get started.
