There's a peculiar ache that lingers far longer than the discomfort of doing things now

It slips in quietly with utmost regret of the feelings left unspoken

Although my eyes would catch her gaze, I wasted every sign

And left chances unopened by the doubts inside my head

Until she left, charmed by someone else's smile

One that didn't hesitate

Leaving me with an ache, as the space in my stomach feels empty

If only I had buried my laziness and walked up to you

I wouldn't be left with an hunger I can't chase

And with a silence I can't name

It's now too late to eat a burger of juicy beef and cheese that melted
