Intro
Utopian.io has a Chat now, this is a useful tool for user to be in touch when they are making a new contribution or waiting for some review or just reading some Contribution.
We have a Discord server too but I think this Chat is better for quick messages.
Suggestion
My suggestion for improve this tool is making automatic messages.
Case 1:
A new user just join to Utopian and he/she is just looking the site, so the Utopian-bot (not necessary the same script, it can be a new one only for this automatic messages) check that this new user has no contributions yet so he send a message to this new visitor:
Hi! It seems you are new here. Do you need help?
Case 2:
Your contribution was approved so you want money, you are going crazy and annoying because the Bot is 99% VP and it's just sleeping, or maybe you want to know because it isn't bad.
So instead of trying to find a Moderator or looking on Discord, you just can send a message to the Bot and he reply you:
Hey favcau, I'm going to start voting in 47 min.
Case 3:
You made a lot of Contributions but many were rejected. You are going to make a new one, but the Bot detect this and warn you:
Hey favcau, check the rules first, you made some mistakes before :)
Conclusion
We can create a lot of different messages, I think this isn't hard to implement and is a useful feature.
