green temple is one of the temple which is located at an altitude of 375 meters above sea level (masl), Candi Ijo temple is the highest located in Yogyakarta.Disebut Ijo because the temple which was built around the 9th century it was built on a hill known as Bukit green or Gumuk Ijo. The mention of the name of Ijo village first mentioned in Poh inscription dating from 906 AD.
