My person is down with lower back pain and I have taken time out from work to take him to the chiropractor, make sure his fed and then also put him to bed..
I lost a bit of work time and thus will be leaving work later today on a Friday than any other day as my reports have not been completed.
I called him to remind him that he has promised his friends that he would be hosting a lunch tomorrow and I wanted to know what his plan was...
His answer was that he didn't know and right now couldn't care so I replied to him asking if he would like me to let his friends know that he will be cancelling.
It was at that point he asked me, well what do I want to do... somehow at my wits end I switched off.
No longer bothered to try and be supportive in this situation. Even though everything done up until this point was for his benefit.
I know that had he not had this pain, he would never treat me in the manner that he had.
But This behaviour is also present when his down with man flu.
Is there something about pain or sickness that bring about a dormant side of bad behavior?
Or is the good behavior the facade and in the face of pain and illness there is no energy to maintain it?
Time will pass and so will this.
Vent over .. thanks for reading
Until next time...
