Its been sometime since my last post.
So much has happened that Id like to share, but to pull mist from the air , will only get your hands a little wet..
Lets see , about the end of February we went to Durban for an Indian wedding,
not knowing that this would be a three day affair , we had little time to see tourist attractions ,
Upon returning from Durban, We received the keys to the house that we bought, and thus decided to set a marriage date.
So March 1st we set the date to be 30 March 2018... Yeah, 29 days to move , paint, change counters from lamination to Granite only to then have the Mister add that he would want more than just our cluster families present , but to have something that would cater for at least 80 guests.
Suddenly, A wedding ? and now guests?
Where do we have it? Who's invited? What do I wear?
But wait, I have to start packing to move.
and that's how the madness began.
For a month, it was running around, unexpected expenses, emotions running high, pressure building up, none of it in my control. I was knocked off balance, everything was changing around me, the moment I stepped on the merry go around that was now my life.
And then on the Wednesday before my said- wedding. My Gran passes.
I was named after her. my family a mess , and yet things needed to be done.
Having people, not know whether to offer their sympathies or congrats..
Bitter sweet moments, and memories , only to have my car break down on the day before my wedding.
I started thinking all sorts of things while waiting for help to arrive.
When it rains in my world , it monsoons ...
Then to have it rain on Friday morning the day of my wedding , at that point I was just happy that the day was finally here.. as I was ready to rest..
It was short and sweet, and a reminder that despite the feeling of constant drowning , I was never alone.
By the afternoon I had caught the flu, and the first night of marriage was filled with phlegm and tissues..
oh the joys.. Lol.
Today is my first day back at work and even though still sickish, it seems like everything is slowly falling back into place, and some into new places.
Life is crazy, but its amazing, and the past month has reminded me that I am living it, in my own way, in my own capacity.
Is that not what matters?
Until next time...
P.S Tune Tuesday will continue next week.
