Sometimes you look at your stack and see some ugly ducklings.
That's OK. Usually they're cheaper than pretty rounds or coins. Like this turd that is basically bought at melt value.
This next one looks like shit, but, it'll melt into something beautiful soon.
For new stackers out there, don't be afraid of buying ugly ass bullion, it adds ounces to the stack cheap.
But, there's a line... sometimes things are so epically ugly that dudes like me seek them out for our collections. Example: my absolutely favorite round the Canadian mint has ever made... behold
It's so monumentally awful, that it has a special place in my heart.
And some of the 1970's stuff is so gross that I will actually pay premiums for them. Like this one I picked up in Vegas:
I think my point to new stackers is, buy cheap bulk and find a collection as well. For me I collect weird silver, and the most beautiful rounds, but, I stack bulk generic weight. I have a stack separate from my collection.
Maybe don't take advice from people on the internet though.
