Hello lovely humans. It has been a while since I wrote on this community or even write at all and this is due to some reason that I once shared before.
It has been a great year for me actually because I have been moving from one state to another experiencing different cultures and traditions. This has given me a lot of topics to write about but without personally taking pictures I do feel discouraged to write about them.
Currently, I'm in the city of Abuja. The Federal capital city of Nigeria. The city is such a big yet beautiful city. Although I never plan to write any blog today but the wrong decision I made on my way home got me writing today I later discovered "Everything works together for good" and the good part is that you get to see some part of the city.
After I was done registering for my National Youth service corp (NYSC) which will take a year to complete. I was on my way home and since this is my first time in the city I couldn't find my way home. I boarded a cab and even with google Maps I still miss the way. So I had to drop a take a walk to the next bus stop not knowing it was so far. On the map, I guess I saw 6.4km which I thought shouldn't be far.
I started by taking a pics of my shoe which shows that the walk is about to start. I walk for a while and saw that the city was so clean even with the various tree along the roadside. Was it the wind that help them with the cleaning, I can never tell at the moment.
As you can see, the road was so neat and I can hardly find any dry leaves on the ground. I continued my walk thinking the bus stop was getting closer. Google maps showed me it would take 10 minutes to get to the next bus stop and I have been walking but the 10 minutes hasn't changed. It remains 10 minutes
Luckily for me, I saw the city's secret to having a clean road. The city has employed laborers who sweep the city every day. They made sure the city is very clean so people can behold her beauty.
But they seem exhausted. They must have been working for a long time. Their service to the city can be seen everywhere.
I kept on walking until I couldn't take it anymore. I came across a company gate and non of the drivers offered me a ride. The fact is I would be scared to even enter a stranger's car. I don't want to get kidnapped😁🙏.
I walked further and I saw a palm tree. When closer and stood under it waiting until I get another cab. Thanks to my great luck, I got one faster and I boarded it. Took some shots from the cab and was a bit relaxed after I saw some buildings I recognized
Got to the barrack where I live. Started walking home and I took the picture of a building and then a selfie to complete my walk.
I hope you had a great time going through the city of Abuja on a Wednesday. There are still a lot of places to visit and I'll be glad to share them with you.
