Hi lovely family,
It's a dawn of a new month of September. Thank God for the previous months and being alive till now.
I'm super excited to participate again in this edition contest with the theme that really took down memory lane.
Every growing child is filled with diverse kind of characteristics or a particular habit. I wasn't brought up from a rugged family background instead I had the privilege to be exposed to moral things on time even as tender as I was. Inspite of the good up bringing yet there lots of experience I had which I would like to share the one that stood out for me.
The one lesson or unforgettable thing I would ever remember as a child was hawking of mangoes and selling of books in the market. I'm the shy type so I really struggled before I was able to break out the from that shackles. I never wanted anything business but my peers then influenced me to selling of mangoes during the harvest. I made some cash oooo though wasn't easy sha because we don't stay in a place rather we moved around from one location to another which I felt could expose one to danger of insecurity but the little money was a consolation.
I had a senior from my secondary school days that loved everything I was doing. He picked up and taught me what he does for living. I was surprised that afternoon when I was asked to come to the market after school. With joy in his heart I received a hug as a sign of welcome. After consistent visit for some weeks, I became used to the system and fear naturally died off.
what I learnt
I learnt lots of things even though as child that has been helping me till date.
- I pointed out the first point as inferiority complex which was accompanied by shyness. Hmmm I have been delivered from that spirit and I am free to interact with different kind of people.
- My childhood lesson inculcate the spirit of seriousness in me. I used to be lazy in carrying out certain tasks but this kind of adventure really transformed my life to what I'm still reaping from today. Even now that I am married blessed with two kids, I tried to transfer same discipline to my children. I detest laziness and generalising that things are difficult.
- The forgettable childhood lesson made me triumph over the fear of an unknown. Fear has the capacity to ruin destinies and relegate an individual to lesser achievement. By the grace of God, I don't easily get afraid of the unknown anyhow again because my heart has been built up.
- Wow staying in the market selling has helped me to have good orientation about business.
The knowledge became indelible because the numbers of people that I have helped with productive business ideas are heroes and heroines in different spheres of life today. Imagine I had no strong bases on marketing and customer relationship what would have happened now? Hmmm presently I have legally registered business in Nigeria and I proud to say my mentor has built house and lives comfortable with his family through same business.
CONCLUSION
No any knowledge is a waste. The remnant of childhood has turned to a pivotal thing in my life now. It has grown to be come like a lifestyle even now as an adult.
Thanks to everyone that added value to my life when I was much younger.
