Hi I'm Farbod and today , I wanna introduce you a persian musician named " Mohsen Namjoo "
The reason of why i like this musician is he has been able to mix jazz , rock , blues genres with classic and traditional Persian music and of course it's not a easy thing and needs music knowledge .!
Namjoo used Q'oran's sentences in one of his songs called "Shams" and unfortunately governments thought it's derisive and they threatened him so Mohsen Namjoo forced to leave Iran and he continued his works out of his country and he reached so many success and honors.
The track I shared with you is by Nomjoo called "Zolf" that he performed it live and the poet of this song is a old and great man named " Hafez
translate the song for you although translating Persian ode poetries is hard 'cause they're deep and profound , but I'm gonna do my best...
don't let wind to puff your hairs in order not to let me go on wind
don't ogle in order not to kill me
don't drink wine with everyone in order not to suffer me
don't rebel in order not to make my shout reach heaven
don't be the most famous girl in the city in order not to make me homeless in mountains (not to make me mad)
don't imitate Shirin's passion in order not to make me Farhad
have a mercy upon me and come to my rescue
in order not to allow my shout reach God
Hafez won't refuse being in pains because of you
I'm free from that day since I got captured by you
don't make your hair curl in order not to capture me
don't be friend with stranger in order not to make me forget myself (to make me crazy).....
Shirin & Farhad are symbols of love in Persian literature like Romeo & Juliette, they have really nice love story with a sad ending
Namjoo is my role model for fighting so I'm trying my best to make things better for my country's music .
Follow me at @farbodrh and share it with your friends if you like , thanks
