"Your cupboard is already filled with so many clothes and still you want to buy new dresses!"
"I have worn all those clothes to friends' gatherings, so I can't wear them."
"I think, you should pick an old one from your wardrobe, I am sure your friends would have completely forgotten about it."
"They are fully acquainted with my wardrobe, so I can't take that risk."
"So, what do you want now?"
"We are going shopping tomorrow and that's it."
Della said this to her husband (Kenan) as she wanted to buy new dresses for her friend's wedding. She was conscious about her outlook and wanted to look perfect always among her friends. She was an extravagant lady who never cared for her husband who was the only breadwinner of his family. They had three children and Kenan was also supporting his parents as he was the only child of his parents. He tried hard to make Della understand, but she was not ready to hear anything.
So finally he decided to take her to the shopping. He took an off from his office and asked Della to get ready for shopping. She was excited and praised her husband.
"You are the best husband in the world for whom every girl could ask for."
"Alright! Now stop buttering and bring something to eat. I couldn't have lunch today in the office."
"Just wait 5 minutes my dear husband. "
After having dinner, Kenan went to sleep but Della was still awake at midnight.
"Why are you still awake?"
"I am searching for the dresses which are in trend now. I don’t want to buy the old ones."
"Seriously? At this time of night, you are searching for dresses? Don't be silly and have some sleep."
"Alright! Just five minutes. "
The next day, Della woke up early and after dropping her kids at the school, she finished her house chores.
" I am ready! Let's go!" She said to Kenan.
When they were about to leave, Kenan received an email. When he saw it, it was from his office.
" We got an urgent meeting Mr Kenan! You would have to come to the office as early as possible."
Kenan got worried to see that, so he called his mate and asked about it. He informed him that their US client had suddenly asked for a meeting, so he would have to come as all the important points of the meeting were prepared by Kenan. So he left with no option and asked his wife about it.
"It's urgent Della! We can go for some other day."
"All these are just lame excuses. I would go today and that's it. "
After arguing for a few minutes, finally Kenan gave her his credit card and asked them to shop for whatever she wanted. Della got excited and went shopping immediately. She bought her favorite dresses together with matching jewelry and shoes. She also bought some clothes for her children. After the shopping, she met with her college friend. She offered her lunch in the restaurant. They both enjoyed the lunch and later took some pictures to keep as a memory.
Now it was 3 pm already, so Della left for home. On the way, she decided to buy some cake and biscuits for her children. She asked the taxi driver to stop in front of the bakery. She went inside the bakery and also bought ice cream along with the biscuits. But as soon as she came out of the bakery, she couldn't find a taxi. She got worried as all her luggage was inside the taxi. She looked around but it was nowhere. She
She waited for him for some time, but no one came.
She went inside the bakery and pleaded with the manager to check the CCTV footage to find out about the taxi driver. She was shocked to see the CCTV footage of the taxi driver running away as soon as she went inside the bakery. She was in trauma to know what happened to her. As soon as she reached home, her husband was waiting for her. Seeing him, tears rolled down from her eyes and she couldn't utter a word. He compensated her and asked her the whole thing. She told him about the whole incident and he said,
"If you could have listened to me before, this wouldn't be the case."
They also complained to the police station, but they couldn't catch the culprit. Now Della was left with no other option, so she wore the old dress from her wardrobe.
