Living lazy
(Write about a time in your life that you look back upon in which you were lazy, aimless or unwilling to make an effort, What was the situation, why were you that way inclined and, if you broke the habit, how did you do so and what was the ultimate result.)

Whenever I am associated with this community, every week a topic comes up, which may have happened in everyone's life, but it must have happened in mine. This time also, topic number 4 had a lot of influence on my life.

Something happened in the old life that broke me. I went into negativity. I didn't feel like doing my work. I had become completely uninterested, useless, and non-existent.

The incident that is about 15 years old, and I was still an officer in the medical department. One day in the evening, I went to the most famous club in my city for a drink with a friend.

There I also played for some time on the snooker table. In those days, snooker was known only as a sport for big city officers

and big industrialists. Petty officers and other members were not allowed to play billiards and snooker in that precious club. But before those big officials and industrialists came there, some of us used to play our matches.

One day, my match was going on when the Chief Justice of the district reached the club. He saw my match and said you play well, young man. Why not play a match with me. I accepted his offer, and the match began. In a very short time, I defeated him. He again praised me and asked about me. Who am I and what do I do? I wanted to introduce myself to him when the manager of the club came and said, "Mr Judge sir, he is a big industrialist in our city. He has a big factory of medicines."

I was surprised but kept quiet. Later, I asked the manager why he gave a false introduction. The manager said that if the judge found out that he had lost to a petty official, it became a question of his reputation, and then he would complain to the owners of the club that petty officers also play in the snooker room, so my job will also be in danger. Action would have been taken against me also. That's why I had to lie a little. It doesn't matter, he too will forget it

But I could not forget this thing and I made a firm intention that now I would definitely set up a pharmaceutical factory. Coincidentally, in those days, a notice of sale of a bankrupt
pharmaceutical factory was published in the newspaper. I made a lot of effort and got that factory transferred into my name by promising to pay the dues of that factory. Now I had to pay the liabilities of this factory as well as my deposited capital, which was also invested in it. I took a long break from my job and started a factory with passion.

By the grace of God, I ran the factory very well and my company's products started selling a lot in the market. I tried more and got contracts for the supply of medicines in government hospitals by placing tenders.

The work of the factory had increased a lot, which I could not handle alone. So I decided to hire a manager by advertising in the newspaper.

Many applications came in response to this advertisement. One of them was from an old classmate of mine. I gave him the job thinking that he would be more loyal to me because he used to study at my college.

But within a few days, he started being dishonest in the factory and started manipulating the production of medicines as well. He started putting fewer basic salts in medicines than the declared quantity of medicines. As a result, a sample of medicine made by our factory was found substandard on testing by a district hospital and a case was filed against us by them.

In the field of pharmaceutical manufacturing, the sample of a drug being found substandard shocks the entire reputation. This is what happened: our reputations were ruined in a matter of days; our payments were halted; our license was near to cancellation, and they began the legal process. With all my efforts, that person spoiled me in a few days.

This incident deteriorated a lot my mood, I went into despair, I didn't feel like doing anything, I started to spend all day sitting idle, got addicted to alcohol, and my financial and mental condition started deteriorating.

That's when a friend of mine advised me that I should not get discouraged like this, you have to try to live life again. I accepted his advice with great courage and I paid off all the loans of the bank etc. and sold the factory and gave all the capital to the creditors, labourers and lawyers of the court case.

And joined my Government job again and got posting in another city. Slowly my life started returning to the old track again. But this sad incident is always remembered as a bad dream.
