Nancy was doing her everyday work, sitting in front of the computer in a cabin with a very calm nature. Nancy was a 23-24-year-old beautiful, simple-faced girl. Nancy used to work with diligence. She did not like to talk much to anyone or to laugh much. In a way, she was an introverted girl; even her colleagues did not like her much.
A co-worker in Nancy's office was always harassing her. That day, he also suddenly came and stood in front of her, and said, "Madam, come with me. The manager, sir, is calling to you for some work." Nancy told him, "Please go. I will come in a minute." She quickly completed her remaining work and got up from the seat.
There was a slight lameness in her gait; her right leg was affected by polio. As soon as she stood up, the same co-worker who had come to call her, said, making fun of her, "The lame mare is running, now it will fly away." Hearing this, many more people in the office laughed loudly.
Hearing all this behind her back, Nancy felt very sad and also angry. She was used to hearing all of this, and she didn't feel bad about it because Nancy had polio when she was 5 years old, and even after a lot of treatment, some parts of her leg had not fully recovered. So she slight limp while walking, which is why she had to become the object of mockery for this illness earlier in school and college. she used to feel very insulted after hearing such things, but gradually she stopped paying attention to them.
That day, after finishing her office work, she was going back home in her car. Her heart and mind were not in the good condition because of her humiliation that day in office . Therefore, she was not driving the car properly, and she rammed the car going ahead of her car.
From the next car, three young goon-type men came out and threatened Nancy to get out of the car. Frightened Nancy came out of her car and apologized to the young men for the car collision.
But as soon as the those young men and Nancy came out of the car, the young men came to know that there was a problem with Nancy's feet. They also started making fun of her and started abusing her looking at her alone and handicapped. She grieved from anger and shame and started to cry.
Somehow after being insulted by them, she reached her home feeling very sad.
That day she did not come out of her room and did not even eat dinner, so her mother was worried and asked what happened to her today. When the mother asked Nancy to come outside , she cried and told everything to her mother.
Her mother encouraged her and said "don't care about these things, you are a brave girl." Nancy said to her mother, "Mom, I have decided today that I will show the world that I am not a weak girl, I can do all the things like any common man, and I can do more dangerous work than them ."
Mother said, "Okay my baby, now take food and come with me to the seashore." Both of them ate food and went towards the sea. After reaching there, Nancy saw that some young men were surfing in the sea. She liked seeing this scene and she told her mother that, Mom , I will also do windsurfing and when I become proficient in this art, I will show to all arrogant men that I am also capable to do anything .
The next morning, Nancy arrived at Miami Beach and contacted a windsurfing trainer. there She was told that windsurfing is also known as a challenging and adventurous sport, It is not easy to you , but once you start it, it's a lot of fun. Surfing just over the board is usually easy and can be learned in a day. However, learning to surf, race, or windsurf on plane water can take months or even years.
Nancy, on the other hand, had arrived determined to learn windsurfing. So he asked, "How much does a windsurfer cost?" And how much is the fee for training?They told that if you buy the parts individually, buying a complete windsurf set costs about $4000 including a rig, boards, a wet suit and shoes and the fee is very less you can pay in instalments.
Nancy said she would come again tomorrow and learn it for sure.
Nancy did not have that much money, so her mother gave her all her savings to boost her confidence.
Nancy learned to windsurf within 6 months of hard work and tireless efforts and got her certificate. In between the training, she was discouraged by her fellow trainees, but she did not back down from her intentions because she was determined to continue on her mission.
The bay of Key Biscayne is an exceptional place for windsurfing; the calm sea with the good consistent wind all year round makes it a unique spot in the heart of Miami.

On average, a windsurfer can sail at a speed of 20 to 25 knots. But she had become an advanced windsurfer and could go as fast as 30–35 knots.
Now she has become an expert windsurfer, so Nancy has left her office job, and she has opened a school of windsurfing and provides training to the public for this adventure. She named her school Adventure Wind Surfing Training School.
Those people who used to make fun of her earlier now admire her.
