Ophrys holoserica

Die Hummel-Ragwurz ist eine Orchidee aus der Familie der Ragwurze (Ophrys). Sie gedeiht auf kalkhaltigen Trocken- und Halbtrockenrasen. Bestäubt wird diese Orchidee vorwiegend von Wildbienen. Im Taubertal findet man noch gute Bestände in zahlreichen Naturschutzgebieten. Ich konnte dieses Jahr viele Pflanzen entdecken. Sie standen meistens im Schutz eines Wacholderstrauch. Diese Orchidee optimal in Szene zu setzten, war nicht so einfach wie gedacht. Zum einen muss man aufpassen keine Pflanzen im Umfeld zu beschädigen, andrer seits ist es unabdingbar, für detaillierte Aufnahmen ganz nach an die Pflanze heranzurücken. Die vielen Wacholderäste und deren Nadeln am Boden, erschwerten meine Aufnahmebedingungen. Letztendlich bin ich mit meinen Bilder zufrieden.

The Hummel-Ragwurz is an orchid from the family of the Ragwurze (Ophrys). It thrives on calcareous dry and semi-dry grasslands. This orchid is pollinated mainly by wild bees. In the Tauber valley there are still good stands in numerous nature reserves. I was able to discover many plants this year. They were mostly protected by a juniper bush. To put this orchid in the best possible light was not as easy as I thought. On the one hand you have to be careful not to damage any plants in the surrounding area, on the other hand it is indispensable to move closer to the plant for detailed photos. The many juniper branches and their needles on the ground made my shooting conditions difficult. In the end I am satisfied with my pictures.

Die Nymphe einer Schrecke war noch eine willkommene Zugabe bei meinen Bildern. Auf jeden Fall hatte sie sich einen traumhaften Ansitz mit dieser Orchideenblüte ausgesucht. Für mich als Makrofotograf, eine willkommene Zugabe.

The nymph of a grasshopper was a welcome addition to my pictures. In any case she had chosen a dreamlike hide with this orchid blossom. For me as a macro photographer, a welcome encore.
