Context is everything. And in the context of my relationship with cannabis, I have destroyed relationships with my family members, I have near starved myself to death because I could not afford both food and smoke, and would always elect to smoke instead. I have allowed it to make me lazy and unproductive in spite of feeling for some time, as you know, that I've important shit to be doing. So my relationship with weed is one which is very costly to me and those around me, and it is no bad thing that I am, potentially, through the other side of it.
Though, my weed addiction was largely a means of managing a greater demon, one I must now face head on. So we shall see how that goes. Perhaps I will be smoking again next week. I have decided to no longer make promises to myself, because every time I break them I convince myself I am weak. So hopefully, with no promises made this time, if I do slip up, it will be less consequential. Or perhaps, having the absence of a promise to keep will make it easier for me to stay the path.
