My father used to tell me not to mistrust my brothers or sisters. In his absence, we should remain as one family with love and faithfulness, he told me this, the day I had a scratch with the family dog, he noticed my anger that if I could treat the dog like that, how about my brothers.
Father didn't know the whole scenario that happened in the dining room, the dog went to the dining room and put his mouth on my food, by the time I came back, he saw me and pretended he hadn't done anything, can you imagine, I got so aggressive, when I found out the dog had eaten it own food, "why did she put her mouth on mine?.
The anger in me was all written on my face, to the point that, my father could not trust me in my behaviour, since that day, I distrust the dog in the house and I never want the dog to come near me, my father keeps watching me, and how my brothers play with the dog, the way they want to be around the dog, because the dog has already killed my love for her, from the moment she inserted her mouth in my food, I dislike her presence.
I love the house dog, but I will never believe that the dog will take away my comfort of eating, because the way I relate to the dog was unkind for so long, my brothers joined my father and told me to stop treating the dog unkind, I admire the house dog, so when the dog misbehaves with me, it breaks my heart to pieces, my reactions were just to show the dog that if she keeps misbehaving in the house, I might decide to take my feelings away from her and never do anything with her again.
But it all came, one fine day, when I was going out, I forgot my wallet on the bench, I was about to leave with my friend who came to take me out, then the dog ran very fast and got to the place before I left, I looked at the dog mouth my wallet was there, the dog gave me my wallet that I forgot on the bench that is placed in the varenda, that's how I became friends with the dog again.
And this time our friendship lasted, I have learnt the lesson and the dog has also learnt the lesson that we should not misbehave with any of our trusted friends, because that could make our friends distrust us.
To be honest, it is hard to live in a house with a friend you don't relate to, when this happens, it will be as if your friend is a complete stranger to you, my father used to say many times that, of all his children, I am the one who took the longest to heal from any mistrust, but of all of them, I am also the most affectionate child.
But he wanted me to be more and more affectionate and to stop taking too much time to trust if being offended, to forget mistrust but trust and to continue to be more and more affectionate with my brothers.
