All my life until today, I have only been exposed to indigenous dishes which are eaten mostly by people from the village or small towns. That alone can tell you a little about my status and what kind of family I come from.
In our small community, we often feed on natural agricultural produce which are known to have high nutritional value and is best for general health. As kids not younger than eight years, we learnt to help out in the kitchen and after a few years, we were able to make those local and appetizing dishes without assistance.
The local dishes are without doubts, nutritious and healthy to eat unlike most fancy foods that are processed and ripped off their natural essence. However, I still craved those fine meals from the restaurant situated in the city.
I wanted the best ice-cream and "SWEET WAFFLES" from McDonald's. I also wanted the pizza made at pizza jungle, some marshmallows and all other confectioneries I could ever think of. I wished for a day where I would no longer crave these things but have them staring at me and by will, eat them.
It's 22 days to Christmas and not much has changed but I sure have some money saved up, enough to get me a nice treat. I truly cannot wait to visit the restaurants, get back home and give reviews about all those fancy foods we see on food blogs and TV.
