How are you all? I hope you all are doing well. I am also doing well. So today I am back again with a new Splinterlands post. Today I have reviewed a character from the Fire Splinter. It is a Legendary card and it is a ranged attacker. The name of this card is Rush Townsend. Its mana cost is 9 so we can play it in mid to high mana battles. It becomes a little difficult to play it in low mana battles. I found this card quite strong so I thought I should share a review of this card with all of you. So now let’s start its review.
First of all I will talk about its stats. At max level its stats are like this. Its mana cost is 9. Its attack is 5 and it is a ranged attacker. Its speed is 6. Its armor is 4 and its health is also 6. Its bloodline is Canisan. I liked its armor and health the most because its health is 6 which is good and it also has armor which is even better. The rest of its stats are also very good because its attack is 5 and its speed is 6 which is quite good. So overall its stats are really amazing.
Now let’s talk about its abilities. At max level it has four abilities which are Ambush. Affliction. Piercing and Amplify.
Because of the Ambush ability Rush Townsend gets an extra turn before the battle starts. This means the enemy gets damage even before the battle starts. So this is a very good and powerful ability.
Because of the Affliction ability when Townsend successfully attacks a monster there is a 50 percent chance that Affliction will be applied to the enemy. So this ability is especially useful against monsters that depend on Heal or any healing support. Because after this ability is applied they cannot heal themselves anymore.
Because of the Piercing ability when Rush Townsend attacks an enemy with a ranged attack and the attack does more damage than the enemy’s armor then the extra damage goes to the enemy’s health. For example if a 5 damage attack hits an enemy with 3 armor then after the armor is destroyed the remaining 2 damage goes to the health.
Because of the Amplify ability Rush Townsend increases the damage from Magic Reflect. Return Fire and Thorns of the friendly team by plus one. Because of this Rush Townsend becomes even more useful with teams that depend on reflected or retaliated damage. Amplify does not stack.
Now let’s talk about its best position. In my opinion Rush Townsend should not be placed in the front line at all. Its main job is to deal damage and not to absorb enemy attacks. Its best position should be the fourth. fifth or sixth position. We can keep it in the back line or middle because it stays protected there and can take full advantage of its 5 ranged attack plus its good speed. So keeping it in the back line is the safest option.
Now let’s talk about its weaknesses. In my opinion its only weakness is its mana cost. Its mana cost is 9 which is a high mana cost. Because of this we cannot easily play it in normal battles. It can be played in high to mid mana battles. So I think this is its one and only weakness. I do not think it has any other major weakness. Or maybe it does and I do not know about it. Now let’s talk about my overall opinion. In my opinion this is a very strong card. Its mana cost is a little high but according to its stats and abilities I still think its mana cost is reasonable. Its stats are really good and all four of its abilities are also amazing. Its speed is 6. Its attack is 5 and it also has many other good stats. So its stats are really good and its four abilities are also very useful.
Out of these four abilities I like its Ambush ability the most because it gets to play its first round even before the fight starts. Because of this the enemy can receive a lot of damage. So this is a really amazing ability.
Overall if I have to give this card a rating out of 10 then I would give it a 9.9 rating because I really liked this card.
