Bungong Jeumpa or chrysanthemum flower is a typical flower from the Serambi Mekkah area, Aceh Province.This fragrant Bungong Jeumpa is very special for the people of Aceh, so it has become one of the regional symbols.
Jeumpa comes from the name of a kingdom that once triumphed in the archipelago, namely the Jeumpa Kingdom, which developed in the 7th century and is centered in Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province. The beauty and features of Bungong Jeumpa were even used as a song and very well known, namely the Bungong Jeumpa Song written by Ibraham Abduh based on an overview of the king of the Jeumpa Kingdom which was written in saga form.
