Good afternoon Hive world, I hope life is good and you are all well.

I'm still enjoying my photo-a-day project and here are the shots from the past week or so. A varied selection as always but not quite as much light painting as usual. I think the lighter nights and the lockdown are forcing me to work on my lighting game which is fine by me. There is plenty of time for more light art.

The title image outlined below.

If the world ends I hope you're by my side.

More light play this evening but with Lauren this time.

Same set up as last night but with another flash added behind our hands with an orange gel and a hint of vape in the air.

We did about 20 of these but this one stood out for me as I just got the timing wrong, so our hands hadn't yet met. I also love the light on Lauren's fingertips.

Helios.

I found my modded Helios at the back of my lens drawer today so thought I'd give it a run out tonight.

It panned it down with rain which left many droplets on the kitchen window which I knew would create some funky bokeh.

Orange and blue gels on 2 x Yongnuo 560iv's either side of me. 1/8 power @24mm clipping me and hitting the window.

I'm also well overdue a haircut.

Flow.

Quick faff just now with an image from the end of last year with Tei and the LP Brushes black fibers.

I had a cheeky hour out on the bike tonight and killed 2 birds with one stone.

Aching now but shot in the bag and sat on the couch.

Looking up.

Quick faff with the lights again this evening. I'd usually use this as a basis for a double but I really can't be arsed. I think last night's bike ride has caught up with me :)

Beauty dish above and behind, 1 x Yongnuo 560iv behind the white sheet strung up between 2 kitchen cupboards on full power.

Fade to Black.

More high key to low key photography tonight and a revisit of a shot from 2015.

Beauty dish high and camera left and 1 x Yongnuo 560iv behind fired at the white backdrop. Behind me and in the middle of the frame I hung a black sheet to obtain the high to low background.

Some time and tinkering later in Lightroom and jobs a good un.

Come In.

This is where I spend a fair bit of time at home, vaping out of the back door and listening to the world go by.

I'm quite enjoying the challenge of shooting at home and trying to make the mundane appear more interesting.

I think an out of focus figure in the haze would have bumped this up a notch or two but I'll save that for another day.

1 x Yongnuo 560iv outside with orange gel and another behind me with a blueish gel to lift the shadows. Big chuff of vape then a 2 second timer.

Hoodie.

More light play this evening and another of my ugly mug. I seem to have a distinct lack of willing models at the moment so you're stuck with me.

Beauty dish high and right on 1/4 power. Silver reflector held below just out of frame. 1 x Yongnuo 1/32 with snoot and a hint of vape in the air.

Yesterday's upload I was sat on the couch this morning staring out of the window like a dog waiting for it's owner to return home. Whilst doing so I was watching the clouds bubbling up and although I couldn't see any movement I know a quick time-lapse would bring out said movement beautifully.

Unfortunately my old 135mm Takomar has some dust inside and I wouldn't know where to start removing the spots from a video.

999 shots combined in the time-lapse app on my camera.

Thanks also to the greenfly who made a cameo at the end adding a bit of extreme foreground interest.

I hope you all enjoyed my past week or so messing about with the camera. I'd also highly recommend doing a 366 project of your own if you'd like to push your boundaries and explore new avenues of creativity. It also helps in avoiding sitting on the couch and watching bad TV which is always a bonus.

As always if you have any questions about any of my shots please feel free to ask me.

Take care folks and enjoy the rest of your day.

Happy days.
