HUMAN BRAIN :
Like every animals, humans also have a brain in their head which is one of the most important organs of a body. The spinal cord makes up the central nervous system & the brain is the central organ of it. A human brain consists of cerebellum, brainstem & cerebrum. It controls most of our body activities, such as integrating, processing and coordinating the informations receiving from the sense organs (eye, skin atc.), atc atc. The human brain is a subject of wonder too, because of some unique and amazing properties of it.
Interesting Facts About Human Brain :
◼ A brain of a adult human weighs about 1.5 kilograms or about 3 pounds. Human brain is largest in size among all the animals if we compare it in respect to their bodies.
◼ It's often said that human abdomen or belly contains maximum fats, but the brain is the fattest organ of a human body & it is made with almost 60% fats.
◼ Believe it or not, a human brain produces approximately 23 watts power while it is awake. I think this is enough to light a LED bulb (Don't try at home) .
◼ Can you imagine that a human brain contains 100 billion neurons in it. The blood vessels of a human brain is so much longer in length, apparently 100000 miles.
◼ Our brain consumes almost 20% of blood and oxygen produced in our body. The neurons move 250,000/minutes of alarming rate at the time of early pregnancy.
◼ It can survive a little time without blood supplement & the brain starts loosing consciousness within 8 to 10 seconds without blood. On other hand, a brain can die within 5 to 6 minutes if it don't get oxygen.
◼ According to researches, the human brain unable to filter and remove old memories at the old age. This is the reason why a human can't discover new ideas while s/he grow older.
