Mondays are not popular with many people. I fall into that group. I think, partly, it's because you have to pick up the thread where you left off on Friday. It's difficult to get back into the groove.
Mondays, we usually have staff meetings so that we all know what is happening and where we may need to collaborate to get work done. Today's staff meeting has been long overdue. We have not had one in weeks because of low attendance resulting from staff taking vacations. Now that we are all finally back together, we're scrambling to catch up. And, it means no staff meeting.
It's one of those things. Nobody likes meetings. But, in this case 30 minutes would save us some headaches later because we would be better coordinated.
I also have spent the day waiting. I am waiting on proposals for HVAC preventive maintenance and for installation of some plants in the front of our building. I am also waiting on a roof repair crew to show up to seal some leaks. And there are other things I am waiting for that did not happen today. I have some errands to do that I postponed, expecting some of these people to show up. What will likely happen is that they will all show up at the same time.
Monday has be a big, stretched out, nothing. I'll be glad when the day is over.
