You talk about divorce all the couples that you know,
So afraid because of all the troubles they did show,
Thinking to yourself it could never work for you,
So on love you give up, filling your life as you do,
Keeping yourself, busy so you don't have to feel,
The loneliness that deep down inside of you that's real,
You numb yourself with whatever is around,
So quietness, is not a sound,
Work, exercise, and what would Gary V do,
That's what you use to fulfill you,
But in the end, that's not happiness,
Because you were made, for a much sweeter bliss,
You were made to enjoy simple, relaxing days,
Where you could laugh with your best friend always,
Where love is real, simple and sweet,
True happiness would make you complete,
But you hide behind your work and your books,
Passing on love, saying it never works,
But that is a lie, you told yourself,
Thinking love belongs on the shelf,
Letting everyone tell you what to do,
But to your heart, you deny love true,
One day love may not be around,
And you would have missed, the love you had found,
The people who so tell you not to marry,
Are not happy, yet you listen and tarry,
So you get your advice from everyone else,
Instead of looking at the love you had for yourself.
