I call to mind the files tagged "confidential", they say it is for certain eyes.
It means the content of the file is for those who have certain clearance, it is not for everyone.
The secret file is kept secret for certain purpose.
I am generalizing the prompt.
But on a personal note, we keep secret files too.
It might not be a file per se, maybe a secret we hide from others.
Soon enough we realize we all have something to hide.
Most of the secret file or confidential files I have seen are mostly in movies, where they say it is a matter of national security.
Even some organizations keep files that are revealed based on the grade of the staff. The higher you go, the more privileged you have to some information.
