When you watch things on TV, it looks pretty easy but not in a real life situation. Taking the example of those who rob small stores, and take away the cash register. Most times they get away but eventually they are being apprehended but the focus is on their getting away.
It now becomes an easy practice for people who are thinking across this line. They watch how it is done, practice the steps. But when it comes to execution, they see it is a different ball game. Television series and real life situations are two different things.
Sometimes I wonder why someone will risk his life for a cash register, it is dependent on the sales they have that day. At the end of the day, it might not be worth the risk.
I remember the story I heard of a man who came into the store, pretended as if he wanted to buy something only to drop a $20 note on the counter and pulled out a gun requesting for all the cash in the register, it was given to him but he forgot the $20 note he brought on the counter because he was in a hurry to leave.
After counting the money he took, it was $16. What a waste of time.
