I learnt about the butterfly effect from a movie, I think it was titled "the butterfly effect".
Since then I usually forget how it is applied and apparently I use the word for something else.
But I understand clearly how the butterfly effect works from the movie because it was explicitly clear.
And sometimes, it is just the name I forget when describing the phenomenon to others.
The butterfly effect is a theory that stated that small changes can affect the overall outcome, whether in an event or in life generally. When the changes are made, the outcome is unpredictable.
The butterfly effect is usually expressed using time travel.
We all love to make a correction to some mistakes we have made, we wish we can go back to make those changes so that our life will be much better than it is.
But the truth is that after we go back, we do not know what we are coming back to meet. The future becomes unpredictable and hence the butterfly effect has occurred.
I really love the theory because it is quite logical. A little change can actually cause a multiplier effect, and that is the butterfly effect.
