When darkness falls, beauty lit from within- Jonathan Jena
Do you have any idea how beautiful darkness is? How the absence of light makes the world so beautiful? How does darkness show us the real path that we should be taking? How darkness can make us appreciate the beauty of life?
For me, darkness is so beautiful that it reflects the real beauty of a person, the real beauty of the surroundings. You don't need colors just to make someone shines. Did you notice how billions of stars shine in the vast darkness of the sky? Stars won't shine that way without complete darkness. What about that dark chocolate, isn't it the bitter taste of it combined with a sweetness creates an amazing taste. The dramatic effect of black and white photos shows the real beauty of the subject.
Darkness is not all about being evil or bad. It is about being good in spite of the absence of light. It is about emerging beautifully in spite of all those struggles.
A person won't grow beautifully without them going through all the hard times of life. It is during those tough times that we are being polished, it is during those tough times that we are being honed.
Even a butterfly passes that stage in life where it needs to envelop itself in total darkness, where wickedness is needed for it to grow. Just like the caterpillar that changes to a beautiful butterfly after the darkness, people are like that also. There is this stage of life when we get lost when we thought that what we are doing is right not knowing that we are taking that path to darkness.
But sometimes the problem is people enjoying too much being in the dark that they forgot that they have to find the light in order for them to move forward. That they have to do something with their blindness for them to see what's in front of them.
Let me share an old post of my friend that I read at noise.cash when they don't have electricity.
Just as candles have the power to illuminate in the dark, our smile can give light to any problem that may affect us now, do not let the darkness take over your life, do not let blindness prevent you from moving forward or progressing, we must always look for light, where you least expect it, you will always find that sparkle that will illuminate you and change your life.Today I am submerged in darkness, due to a lack of electricity, but I am accompanied by a candle, which illuminates my steps and lets me know where I am. - VirtualVariety
Staying in the darkness or finding the light is always a choice that we have to make. We only have to find that light that will illuminate our path. We can also depend on the light of the moon if we really want to find that path. Don't be afraid to get out of that darkness. Even I have that dark past, and all it takes to change is my willingness to find the light within that darkness.
As I said earlier, darkness is not all about being evil or bad. It's not all about struggle, it's not all about blindness and not being able to appreciate what you cannot see.
It is about how you will find light, it is about how you will illuminate that darkness within you. It is about appreciating things that you find hard to see. Sometimes not being able to see makes you appreciate more, how? By means of feeling it, most of the time feelings or instinct guides you better than seeing, that's why I said earlier that darkness leads you to the right path.
Let me share this quote before I end this topic.
"Light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong. No matter how fast the light travels, it finds the darkness has always got there first and is waiting for it." - Terry Pratchett
And if you've come this far... I hope that I was able to entertain you and made you smile... and for that Thank you.
