Hello to all the crafters, and creators of many crafts, hoping you are healthy and enjoying your day. I made some beautiful cotillion bunnies to give to the children of the house, to spoil them from time to time.

I didn't make them for Easter Day, here in Venezuela they don't celebrate that tradition, well as far as I know I haven't seen or heard of it. But in other countries they do celebrate it. But why do they celebrate Easter with hidden eggs?

"The tradition of giving eggs on Easter Sunday is very old and common in Central European countries, England and the United States. It arose as a consequence of the abstinence that the Catholic Church ordered to keep during Lent, they could not eat, among other things, eggs or dairy products. And they also contained chocolates, something that all children would always want to eat, and the older ones too.

I would have done it with another design but my daughter liked the rabbits, and also the cats.
As many of us know using recycled material for crafts is something that gets us out of trouble to solve at the time, if we have the complement as paints, ribbons and others. Simply with toilet paper rolls that I have been saving for any craft that comes to mind, and this time for this date I wanted to make some cute bunnies, designed in various colors.

And who doesn't like to be given chocolates and candies all the time, and especially children, who love sweets.

And what better to give them the candy, in a cute and fun cotillion. Now I show you how to make each of these cotillions.

My materials used:
Toilet paper rolls.
Tempera paints.
Paintbrushes.
Recycled paper, white.
Cotton, tissue paper, white glue.

Make a pattern of the shape of the rabbit's head, the size of the roll to be used, already with its ears.
Then cut the roll to about 5cm high. I lined it with the recycled white paper, and also lined the bunny's face. Although I also made one painted in white.

Here my daughter is always helping me because she likes to do crafts too, and she says I took the picture so she can see that she did something too, heh heh. She painted these egg shells that she wanted to paint in her own way.

And continuing with the process, after lining and painting, the base, which I glued a cardboard circle, and the face I painted with some eyes that I made with the end of the brush.

Then I painted the nose and whiskers, and I made his ears with the colored foami. And on the edges I put a little bit of paint.

When I finished painting his paws, I proceeded to glue each piece in its place. The head and the paws.
And with the cotton I make his tail.

I place the pink tissue paper inside each base as an ornament; and finally the chocolate and candies.

I made four cotillions for each of the children in the house, they were very happy and especially for the candy. And then the older ones asked for their cotillion hehehe, they asked me for more cotillions but of course they were for the chocolates.

Hola a todos los artesanos, y creadores de muchas manualidades, esperando estén saludables y disfrutando su día. Hice unos bellos conejitos de cotillón para obsequiar a los niños de la casa, para consentirlos de vez en cuando.

No los hice como para el dia de pascua, aquí en Venezuela no se celebra esa tradición, bueno que yo sepa ni he visto ni he escuchado. Pero en otros países si lo celebran. Pero porque se celebra la pascua con huevos escondidos?

"La tradición de regalar huevos el Domingo de Pascua es muy antigua y común en los países de Europa central, Inglaterra y Estados Unidos. Surgió como consecuencia de la abstinencia que la Iglesia católica mandaba guardar durante la Cuaresma, no podían comer, entre otras cosas, huevos ni productos lácteos. Los seguidores de esta tradición guardaban los huevos, y para mantenerlos frescos los bañaban con una fina capa de cera líquida." Esto lo saque de una pagina de internet, buscando un poco de historia.

Y además contenían chocolates, algo que todos los niños quisieran comer siempre, y los mas grandes también.

Muy bien lo hubiera hecho con otro diseño pero a mi hija le gusto mucho de conejos, y también los gatos.
Como muchos sabemos usar material reciclado para las manualidades es algo que nos saca de apuros para resolver en el momento, si tenemos el complemento como pinturas, cintas y otros. Simplemente con rollos de papel higiénicos que he estado guardando para cualquier manualidad que se me ocurra, y en esta oportunidad para esta fecha quise hacer unos lindos conejitos, diseñados en varios colores.

Y a quien no le gusta que le den chocolates y caramelos todo el tiempo, y sobre todo a los niños, que les gusta mucho las chucherías.

Y que mejor darles los dulces, en un lindo cotillón muy divertido. Ahora te muestro como realice cada uno de estos cotillones.

Mis materiales utilizados:
Rollos de papel higienicos.
Pinturas de tempera.
Pinceles.
Papel reciclado, blanco.
Algodón, papel de seda, pega blanca.

Saque un patrón de forma de la cabeza del conejo, del tamaño, del rollo a utilizar, ya con sus orejas.
Luego corte el rollo a unos 5cm de alto. Esta la forre con el papel blanco reciclado, e igualmente forre la cara del conejo. Aunque también hice una pintada en color blanco.

Por aquí mi hija siempre ayudándome porque a ella le gusta hacer tambien manualidades, y dice que le tome la foto para que vea que ella hizo algo tambien, je je. Ella pinto estas cascaras de huevos que queria pintar a su manera.

Y siguiendo con el proceso, después de forrar y pintar, la base, la cual le pegue un circulo de cartón, y la cara la pinte con unos ojitos que se los hice con el extremo del pincel.

Luego la nariz y bigotes pintados, así se le va dando su forma, y le hice sus orejas con el foami de color. Y en los bordes le puse un poquito de pintura.

Al terminar de pintar sus patas, procedo a pegar cada pieza en su lugar. La cabeza y sus paticas.
Y con el algodón le hago su colita.

El papel de seda de color rosado lo coloco dentro de cada base como adorno; y por último el chocolate y los caramelos.

Así quedaron los cotillones, hice cuatro para cada uno de los niños de la casa, quedaron muy contentos y sobre todo por las chucherías. Y despues los mas grandes preguntaron por su cotillón je je, me pidieron mas cotillones pero por supuestos que son por los chocolates,.
