Yesterday I was reminded of a story I heard.
My brother in law is a teacher and it was Graduation Day High School & He asked me to come & to video tape the ceremony for him.
So a 17 yr old boy ,the Valedictorian got up and for his speech this is what he said...
If someone gave you a thousand dollars in the morning and told you that you must spend it by the end of the day...becuz it will disappear tomorrow if not used so u must use each penny of it.. What would you do with that money?
Now....he said think carefully
Each day we wake up & we are given 24 hrs .... Just like that money....
What are u going to do with that time?
Because each day we are all given this time and many people just take for granted the time we have.Do u spend time with people you love? Do u put off things you need or want to do?Or do you live life to the fullest?
We need to appreciate time & use it wisely because we may not have tomorrow or tomorrow we may lose a loved one .
So,each Day is precious , treat it as the gift it is and you will have a full rich happy Life and we can give that back to others.
As sadly many of us do not live our lives we exist or live in thw past or worry about the future ,not realising they r throwing today away ,we may regret it as the present is exactly that.A gift to be enjoyed and to help others enjoy their time as well.
