Chapter Three: Alternate Universe
In their room Max and Dominic were discussing. "Just give it up Dominic mom and dad would never let us leave the house this late." Said Max."Yeah you're right but what if we sneak out we won't have to tell them". Replied Dominic." Dominic No ". "Max yes", come on what could go wrong." What could go wrong? We could get grounded for life or maybe they'll take our allowance away along with our WIFI privilege's ". They wouldn't do that". " Oh you don't know what mom and dad can do, you do not want to get on their bad side believe me I've been down that road". "Max, please". " Dominic No". "Max yes". " Dominic No". "Max!". "Dominic!". " But Max"!. "You're gonna continue persisting all night aren't ya". " Yep'. " Geez alright fine we'll go". "Alright!". " You dealt went to see this so called alternate planet or whatever". "Yeah I do". " Alright I'll help you sneak out'.
It Was a cold night it was dark more dark than it should be at 7pm a fog filled the air and it seemed to would snow although its seems unlikely in summer. The kids creped silently down stairs passed their parents room which was closed and into the living room where they disabled the alarm system and went out he door. When they got to the gate they started to have second thoughts. "Ughhh I'm not sure I want to do this... Don't you dare say a word idiot". Said max with his teeth chattering due to the cold.
They finally reached the Whites house at about 8pm because they moved slowly among the street so any car passing by be it their parents would not see them When they got there Rachel was waiting for them at the gate. " Come my parents are inside". They waled to Rachel's backyard whether machine and some other science equipment were set. "Glad you guys made it, but I'm surprised you came Max". " Can we just get on with this thing". Said Max. "OK then well prepare yourselves". Rachel flipped a switch on her machine and immediately... All the houses on the block were on blackout. Then Rachel's machine started to make funny noses and different lights shined out if it, the kids looked terrified , Dominic almost fainted then all of a sudden. BOOM! a terrible loud noise sounded through the neighborhood, also making a great smoke surrounding the house. Mr and Mrs Gordon a long with Mr and Mrs white all jumped out of bed and went to the back yard to find a broken down Machine and the Kids no where to be found.
