I have separate folders with all the shots I took with manual lenses last summer. All the amazing Bokeh Monsters. And whichever folder I choose to look at I am amazed. At whichever I look I think this is the master of them all (except Jupiter - he was a bit of a disappointment). And then I go back to that Helios and that is it. This is the one to rule them all!
I don't know what it is about this one exactly, cause they all create those gorgeous bubbles, some add the extra swirl too. But there is something more... I dunno.. the images are so soft and smooth, but they are not missing any sharpens. Colours are amazing. And it is like a perfectly synchronized flow of shapes and colours. I hope you know what I mean....
All those grasses were shot around our orchard when after the rains the grasses got into speed growing mode and was blooming like crazy. The green around was so fresh and clean and the light was reflecting from the leaves around.
I remember I was looking forward to try this one and how hard it was for me to work with it at the start. After walking around and trying to catch that iconic effect I got a bit frustrated. And then, once in a while it was popping on my camera screen.. and then more often.. and I think I got it eventually :)
Mr. Helios rocks. Period.
This one is very a little off, but I still like it :)
Must be the charming poppies.
Lastly a little reminder of one of my favourite shots I took with it. Later in the evening when the sun was almost gone I went to the fields one last time and was blown away!
