I sat by a row of lavender that my mum has in her garden and I was watching all the buggers eating like there is no tomorrow. Bees, flies, butterflies, wasps, beetles, bumblebees... I probably missed some. It was like a busy dinner during free lunchtime.
This one was easy to shoot. Bumblebees are slower than bees and don't get scared as easily as butterflies. A nice photo object overall. Plus the big eyes, fluffy body and nice colours. This was just one of many that was flying around.
All that made me want to have lavender on my balcony too. The little purple flowers, the aroma and hope that some insects (except aphids) will want to come and pose for me. I took small rooted plant from my mum and planted it.
So far so good :)
