The park near me... the one that I don't go to now cause of all the mess in the world has some very old trees. They renewed the places, cleaned, added nice paths and benches to sit on. And luckily they left the very old pines, oaks and olives. This part where they grow is my favourite. Very shaded, quiet and so relaxing.
You can just sit down on a grass and piece of wood and enjoy the sounds of all the birds that fly and make noise around. The streets are far enough not to hear the cars or people.
There is so many blackbirds around it is hard to believe! I kept seeing few around. When those were gone - new ones were showing.
The ones hunting for bugs in the grass were hard to get, but I spotted one on the old olive tree. He was watching me and I was watching him.
But that is not all. There was another birdie behind me watching the action. Smaller, lighter in colour. Don't know it's name unfortunately. But there is many of them there too.
A great place to build a nest ;) Look at that view!
There is another guardian. More personal. And much more numerous than the bids.
Its the mosses and lichens. They cover almost every single branch and twig! The shade of the trees and moist that comes from the bay definitely helps them grow.
