I killed one of my little Gymnocalycium. Actually no - I didn't kill it. It died on me with premeditation! The one with the most evil thorns. The one that actually didn't grow much since I got it last year and never bloomed. Oh, he was pretty!!. Such a shame... really...
Ukatrupiłam jednego z moich kaktusów. Właściwie to nie - sam perfidnie padł! To te z wielkimi wrednymi cierniami. Ten sam, który prawie nie urósł odkąd go kupiłam rok temu i nigdy nie zakwitł. Ale jaki był cudny!. Szkoda...

It is not the same, but also a Gymnocalycium type. I like their round bodies and flower buds that look like dragon eggs, (like here). The shop doesn’t have them often so it was a no brainer.
Nie jest to ten sam kaktus, ale to również Gymnocalycium. Bardzo lubię te ich okrągłe ciałka i pączki, co to wyglądają jak smocze jaja, jak tu).

Of course it is potted up in that terrible turf, but I will keep it at home over the winter so it will not get wet. In spring it will get a proper cactus soil… and I will consider moving him outside. Or will keep it inside the house and I will handle him with kid gloves. Really don’t want to kill this one!
Oczywiście jak wszystkie marketowe kaktusy, posadzony jest w tym obrzydliwym torfie. Przetrzymam go w domu przez zimę, żeby nie zmókł czasami za bardzo bo zgnije od razu. Wiosną przesadzę go w odpowiednie podłoże… i może pójdzie na balkon. Albo zostanie na parapecie i będę się z nim obchodzić jak z jajkiem. Szkoda by było załatwić tego też.
