I forgot about Lichens for a while. But now that they all dried up I am digging up some photos from the cooler months when they were nice and fresh (I think it's time for some snow shots too by the way).
Na jakiś czas zapomniałam o porostach. Ale teraz, gdy wszystkie wyschły na wiór odkopuję zdjęcia z chłodniejszych, zimowych miesięcy, kiedy to były młode i świeżuchne (chyba pora też na trochę zimowych zdjęć).
This is Parmelia Lichen. A common one round as it grows both on cork trees and olives and it is one of 40 species of Parmelia lichens out there. It has nice flat lobes and brown colour underneath. I read somewhere that it was used as a cloth dye, but don't try this at home.
Przed Państwem Parmelia. Bardzo pospolity lichen, który rośnie tu na drzewach korkowych i oliwnych i jest jednym z 40 rodzajów tegoż. Wyróżnia się dużymi, płaskimi płatami i brązowym kolorem od spodu. Gdzieś chyba czytałam, że używany był jako barwnik do tkanin, ale nie próbujcie tego w domu.
Pretty one overall and with the largest, flat surface I found.
Bardzo ładny z chyba największą płaską powierzchnią jaką znalazłam pośród porostów.

A few branches away it was sharing the space with two more types: Flavoparmelia (I think) - it is the very flat one that sticks the t0 the bark closely, and another frilly Hypogymnia which is similar to the first one. It has much smaller lobes though and light colour underneath.
Kilka gałązek dalej znalazłam go wraz z dwoma innymi: Flavoparmelia (tak mi się zdaje) - to ten bardzo płasko przylegający do kory i jeszcze jeden liściasty: Hypogymnia. Podobny do tego pierwszego, ale płaty ma drobniejsze i od spodu jest jasny.
There is quite a lot of info about them online, so I will not repeat it.
W internetach jest całkiem sporo informacji na ich temat, więc nie będę powtarzać.
