Finding a nice mushroom proudly sticking its hat above the mosses is always fun. But finding a few different types growing next to each other is even better! And I am pretty sure some like each other's company more than others, just like humans.
These were shot in a few different places in Polish forests. Some autumns are just filled with fungi, and of course I cannot resist them, so here we are :)
Can you see how nice and wet the bottom of the forest floor is? I can almost smell it just by looking at the photos :)
Besides the beautiful, big one and his smaller buddy, we have a nice group of tiny ones in the back as well.
And here the tall one plays a leader to all the tiny followers :p

Bright red Russula (I am starting to recognize those) and a whole bunch of super small orange ones hidden in the moss. Can you see them?
Last but not least, a drier part of the forest where only small groups of lush moss cover the ground, but the little white ones grow there too. With different neighbours this time.
