We always leave the small apples on the tree. For us it is no fun to eat or peel, but birds will have something no bite on in the winter months. By spring everything will be gone.
And whatever is left - ants, snails, slugs and other crawlies will take care of.
Those come from our orchard in Poland. Fully organic and happy growing away from the roads.
