Cotyledon Undulata

I got this really nice Cotyledon undulata two or three years ago as a very small plant. It was growing nicely as they all do most of the time. It even bloomed for me twice! So I thought the place I put it in is good for him and he is happy.
Kupiłam go jako młodą roślinkę dwa albo trzy lata temu. Od tamtej pory rósł sobie spokojnie i nawet zakwitł dwa drawy. Stwierdziłam zatem, że miejsce ma odpowiednie i chyba mu u mnie dobrze.
And then the leaves started to fall off. Some new grew and then dropped again. When that happens it is either way too little water or too much water. But which one? Trying all kinds of things it did eventually die. It is like with cacti I grow. You see one starting to shrivel and you don’t know if it needs more water, or the roots started to root and it needs to be dried in this second to save it.
A potem zaczął gubić liście. Jakieś nowe czasami urosły ale też odpadały. Gdy tak się dzieje, to ma albo za dużo, albo za mało wody. No ale którą opcję wybrać? Próbowałam różnych rzeczy, ale w końcu padł. To tak jak z kaktusami… zaczyna się taki gagatek kurczyć i nie wiem czy mam go podlać, czy ma już podgniłe korzenie i na gwałt trzeba przesuszyć aby go ocalić.

It had really gorgeous leaves! Very thick, meaty almost white from all that powder they are covered in. But the main attraction were those ruffled edges. I have another Cotyledon that has the same colour, but the leaves are flat and it looks like a mongrel comparing to this one.
Cudne miał te liście. Bardzo grube, mięsiste, niemal białe tylko tego proszku na nich miał. Ale cały ich urok tkwi w tych pofalowanych brzegach. Mój inny Cotyledon też ma taki kolor, ale liście są zwykłe i przy nim to jak kundel wygląda.

The flowers on the outside are also covered in that farina. It is for zee protection from the sun and water. Drops just slide down on it like on some greasy surface.
Kwiaty po zewnętrznej stronie też pokryte są tym proszkiem. To dla ochrony przed słońcem i wilgocią. Woda po ty spływa jak po kaczce.
