Yarunovo is a village in the Vologda district of the Vologda region. It is part of the Novlensky rural settlement (from January 1, 2006 to April 8, 2009 it was part of the Votchinsky rural settlement). The distance to the regional center of Vologda by road is 92 km, to the center of the municipality of Novlensky in a straight line - 26 km. According to the 2002 census, the population is 4 people.

In the Soviet years, mass electrification did not reach here. Residents began to leave this bush of villages.
In the early 90s, the authorities invited all remaining residents to move closer to civilization. Even housing was allocated to them, though partially comfortable.
But there were no people who wanted to leave home at that time.
