Vytegra is a town and the district center of Vytegorsky district of Vologda region. The city is located on the banks of the Vytegra River, as well as in the Volga-Baltic Canal system. It is located 337 km from Vologda and is the northernmost town in the region.

Everything is perfect in Vytegra: noticeable height differences, a complex water system in the form of channels, rivers, channels, small rivers, lakes, locks, etc., as well as the spirit of antiquity and architectural diversity.

Accordingly, I like it here by default, but I'm not going to be silent, because I want to share my admiration.

There is an atmosphere characteristic of river and lake towns here.

These are boats, boat garages, marinas, piers, various vessels and ships.

Vytegra is similar to Belozersk, Veliky Ustyug, Totma, Ustye-Kubenskoye...well, let it be, I like all these places too.

Of course, Vytegra is unique and original.

No wonder photographers came here with a master class by Sergei Maksimishin (famous documentary photographer).

By the way, they were in all those places listed by me.

The embankment was improved in Vytegra.

I thought they made a couple of paths along the river, three benches and a playground with gazebos.

And it turned out that this is a huge scale project that occupies a large area in the historical center of the town!

There are a lot of paths, interactive gateways that you can move with your own hands, a large playground in the form of a ship's stern.

The lawns are planted with clover – beauty!

What can we say about a bridge with an observation tower! And it's all made of wood...or it's made so that it looks like it's made of wood.

To get around the entire walking area, to see and touch everything, you need to spend half a day.

And that's not all. The second wave of landscaping is being prepared for work, that is, even more will be done!

To be continued...
