Goritsy is a village on the bank of the Sheksna River, where the female Resurrection Goritsky Monastery is located.
I've never been here by land, but I've seen it from above.
The north-west of the Vologda region is simply oversaturated with rivers and lakes!
In all my air travel, I came across only one abandoned village!
In other places people live everywhere.
It is understandable! It is a sin not to live in such picturesque places.
Lake after lake!
I didn't even try to count them, because immediately realized that it was pointless.
And again, a residential village on the shores of a picturesque lake.
Then the lake is larger and its name is White.
I'm just writing about Belozersk in parallel. This is how it looks from above!
This city is quite small in comparison with the huge lake, from which you can see the coast only from such a great height.
