Sazonovo is a working settlement in the Chagodoschensky district of the Vologda region. Vologda is 310 km away. The village has a population of about 2,700 people. There is a railway station in Sazonovo on a branch of municipal significance.
The Pes River flows through the settlement, which enters the Volga River basin.
During the spring flood, the river floods nearby adjacent plots.
But as the locals assured me, this is a common phenomenon that occurs regularly.
There are already three bridges across the river in Sazonovo, one of which is intended only for pedestrians.
On the map it looks like a suspended one, but in fact it is made of metal and concrete.
There is also a church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos.
I really wanted and hoped that our place of lodging would be here, and not in Chagoda (10km away), but this did not happen.
I managed to look at this place only during the day.
The history of the village, and indeed the whole neighborhood, is connected with glass factories. In Chagoda there is also in Sazonovo.
But I was interested in yard spaces that I couldn't see and feel.
But there are only two settlements in these regions with the opportunity to spend the night, so it may still be possible to walk around Sazonovo at night.
