What can surprise a city so fantastic in its colorite? Of course, it is views from above! It is very difficult to get to the bell tower of the Entrance Jerusalem Temple (Museum of Mariners) in winter, but still I managed to do it. The church is of great height at the highest point of the city - the whole district is visible from above!
Also from the bell tower you can see all the other temples of Totma. Is that the church in Varnitsy is not visible because of the domes.
That day, no luck with the snow, but very lucky with the light.
The city just shone! This is probably a great success, so that everything coincides: a beautiful city in a beautiful light.
Spaso-Sumorin Monastery. It is located on the outskirts of Totma. It is now transferred to the diocese and is being restored.
Bells. Immediately after my visit, a bell ringer came to the bell tower and sonorous music poured over the Totem expanses.
Of course, the city of Totma is not perfect. It has dilapidated housing and modern buildings that spoil the old look of the city.
But here the limit has not yet come when modern architectural technologies make it difficult to perceive the integrity of the spirit of antiquity.
Time goes by and cities like Totma are getting less. We must try our best to preserve the true ancient appearance of such places as long as possible. Totma so far succeeds.
This is a considerable merit of the young and promising director of the museum, Alexei Novoselov.
I hope that soon I will be here again and will be delighted with all possible views. I would also like to visit the opposite bank of the Sukhona River and appreciate the panorama of the city.
