During my visit to Semenkovo, I did not enter any of the buildings of the museum. I can imagine what may be there, since I have already been in a similar place.
But even in such a small museum of wooden architecture, a huge amount of work has been done.
Even has only to find a suitable house in its natural environment, disassemble it, transport it, and then reassemble it.
I will never say that places like this are bad. The common man needs them.
But I am used to feeling the atmosphere and energy of those places that did not have time to pop from frequent visits by people.
The museum contains visual information, but the energy of the place cannot be preserved.
This refers to the energy that was in this or that settlement where these houses stood.
There is also an atmosphere here, but it is public...museum.
Even in popular Kimzha (a remote old village in the Arkhangelsk region) will have completely different sensations.
Although every year there are more tourists there than in Semenkovo.
And all because people live there and the settlement was created in a natural setting for the purpose of living.
I repeat once again: I have nothing against it, moreover, I even support the creation of such museums.
But having visited such a museum once, I realized that I want to see such buildings in their natural environment. It's like a zoo for architecture...
